  1. A man from Glengavlin was on his way to the fair of Swad to sell a horse (Swanlinbar) He met a wee man about half ways between. He knew by the looks of the wee man that he belonged to the other world. The maneen bid for the horse and it was a good bid so they settled the bargain on the spot. He then told the seller to lead the horse into the stable. Says he "I see neer a stable", and with that the man saw a nice pass opening out before him, and a stable at the tail end of it. he led the horse as far as the stable, and what did he see but twenty horses in stalls.
    He tied his horse in an empty stall and coming back of him, what did he see but a sword hanging in the air. He put up his hand to catch the sword, and with that didnt a hundred men make at him with a hundred swords in their hands. He near fell out of his standing at first, but when he came to, he took to his heels and never took time to look behind him till he met the maneen he was after selling the horse to. He up and told him the story of the swords. "Ah" says the
