  1. It is believed that there is a treasure hidden in a great rock in Lisanover outside Ballyconnell. It consists of gold, silver and many valuable articles. It was hidden there by the Danes.
    A number of men dug round the rock in which the treasure is hidden but they were unable to get it. It is said that the treasure is worth thousands of pounds.
    There is a fort beside the rock and it is said that there is light sun there every night.
