    I pray to God my soul to keep.
    And if I die before I wake,
    I pray to God my soul to take.
    There are four corners on my bed
    There are four angels overspread
    Mathew, Luke, Mark and John
    Bless the bed that I lie on.
    If any evil troubles me,
    May The Blessed Virgin waken me.
    Jesus be the branch, Mary be the flower
    Jesus be at my dying hour.
    Jesus to watch and Mary to pray
    And Jesus to carry my soul away.
