  1. In the town land of Arnathrd barony of Lurgan on the banks of Lower Lough Erne. There was an orchard on the top of a hill. One moonlight night some men went to steal the apples. They were not long in the orchard when a bull came and they climbed up an apple tree. The bull stayed at the bottom of the tree till 12 o'clock roaring up at them. At that time a boat started on the lake. They could see it in the moonlight. When the bull saw the boat he ran into the lake after it. The men could hear him hitting it with his horns. After some time the boat went down. The men ran home. The asked afterwards and no one for miles had a bull, and no one had a boat on the lake that night.
