A Pan of Gold - Hidden Treasure.Many years ago there was a pan of Gold hidden in Dungimmon Lough and many people tried in vain to find it. Many a time Berry of the Greeville estate tried but failed. One night he had a splendid dream. He dreamt if he had six white horses without a black hair in them, and bring them to the Lough, trace them into the chains attached to the pan, he would easily succeed in bringing home the Gold. Where was he to get the horses. He went to the Count who then lived where the ruins of Castle Hamilton are now. The castle was built according to the wishes of Lord Southwell, who purched the ground after the Count died. The Counts two children Antonio and Regenia had two Beautiful white horses which they rode through the pleasure grounds. They gladly agreed to lend him the horses when they heard of his coming good fortune. They bade him goodbye and "Good Luck" and told him to take great care of "Billow and Snowball". These were the names they called their horses. Then he got the lend of four more snowy steeds from the Lord and Earls who lived in Crom Castle. He drove the horses in two deep to Dungimmon Lough and found the(continues on next page)
