  1. In a lake which separates Errerann and Tiernawanaugh there used to be a white horse seen on the top of the water, by some of the old people that lived in Tiernawanaugh. It is also told that somebody was drowned in it one night when he was coming from a fair in Bawnboy. He came across the nearway from the fair, and apparently he was crossing the lake when his foot slipped and
