  1. Herbs
    The most harmful weeds in this area are - the dock-leaf, dandelion, robin-run, the hedge, "praiseac", scutch-grass, wild peas - vetches, cow-foot, sow thistle and streak-leaf.
    Streak-leaf or St. Patrick's Leaf heated and put on sores helps in the healing and prevents a bandage sticking to the sore.
    Eagle's Foot when crushed and scent inhaled to cure headache.
    Fern-roots - used in a physic for cattle and also used for cuts.
    Dandelion-juice good for a cold and cough. Also used in healing cuts.
    House-leck - cure for cuts.
    "Gripín" grows on houses - cure for worms in children.
    Dock-leaf cures stings of nettles.
