  1. As well as herbs for curing diseases long ago, people always believe in going many miles for getting cured at holy wells. At every well there is a different time of the year for making a station to it. Not many miles from this place, there is a holy well called "Thubar" It is situated in the townland of Thubar. On the 13th of August, "Lady Day" there is a general station to it every year. The people goes to it with the intention to get cured from any disease they have.
    At the present time many people still keeps ip te station to it and many people got cured in it. The blind, and the criples and anyone who may have a sore leg goes to it on the 13th of August and remains there a whole day praying and performing the work which is done at this well.
