  1. There were two land lords in the district at one time, one lived in the Coppy and the other in Tuberlion. They were married, Slack and Hyne. They evicted many families who afterwards went to far off countries to earn a living.
    The land in which they were living was got from Cromwell and it was divided into farms. If the people did not do as the landlord wanted they would punish them by killing their cattle or by evicting them. The taxes which had to be paid were given in money.
