  1. In the days of long ago a man in our neighbourhood was cutting turf. As he spread them out and had started to more he came across a Hidden Treasure.
It was a pot which contained a box and a key in side it. He opened it with the key and when it was opened it was full of sovereigns. Everybody about the district was surprised about the find. In a week afterwards the policemen came for it, and gave him the half of the money. They claimed the treasure as it was Government property. A number of other articles was found about the district such as urns, butter and a great many other things. A great many old bones were found when cutting turf at different times in our district also.
