  1. Sean McGrath teacher of the Irish language, was shot by unknown men in Ballyconnell about fifteen years ago. A man the name of Bull was also shot and another man the name of Ryan was shot and other men wounded. (In some houses there dies two people,)
    After the European War the flu was raging about this place. In some houses there died two people.
    Ballyconnell Barracks was destroyed and burned on the third of May ninteen twenty.
    Ballyconnell Courthouse was also destroyed and burned on the tenth of May nineteen
