  1. There was a good many storms long ago. There was a very big wind in the year 1839. It tossed a lot of houses and killed a good many cattle. It tossed trees and rooted some of them.
    It burned a lot of houses. Lives were lost trying to save the houses and cattle.
    It lasted a few days. There was a very big snowstorm about thirty years ago. there were a lot of sheep lost in it. It distroyed the crops.
    The people could not leave their houses or they would be lost in the snow.
