  1. In olden times people used to go barefoot all the year. If the women of the district were going any special place they would bring their shoes with them and out them on when they would go near the place.
Nowadays children go barefoot in the summer.
Water that is used for washing feet is thrown out after the feet are washed for an old superstition says it is not lucky to keep feet water in the house after night
Boots are repaired in the district by a man named Ned Darcy. There are no shoemakers in the townland of Drumbagh but there were long ago.
Clogs were made in the district long ago and they are worn in some places yet but they are not as common as in olden days.
