  1. The time of the N year most people marry is in June. Most people get married in June. It is counted a lucky month. People also get Married before Lent or Advent. No one can get married in Lent or Advent. Saturday is an unlucky day and may an unlucky month. Marry in may and you will rue the day. There is no customs or beliefs connected with Shrove.
    Sometimes the man goes to the house of the girls parents and makes the match and gets money. No stock or goods given just money and furniture. The man and girl arranges the day to get married.
    On the wedding day the man and girl go to the chapel. The girl brings another girl with her for to be bridesmaid the boy brings another boy to be Groomsman. When the get married the go home and get their breakfast amongst a large party of friends. Then they go for drives in cars. Most wedding parties call in public houses the buy drink and sing and dance for hours. They also have a party in the brides home. When the party is over the Groom brings the bride with him to his house.
    The young boys gather up and dress in straw and go to the house where the feast is
