  1. Here are a list of the herbs that grow in this locality, Buacallan, red-shank, nettles, dockings, thistles, and alexander.
    Alexander, dockings, and nettles are used for feeding pigs, and hens. Buacallans grow on good land, and the farmer has to pull them every year. If they are not pulled every year they spread fastly. Any land that sheep graze upon is free from Buacallans because the sheep eat them. All these herbs grown among potatoes, and if they are not pulled they leave the potatoes very hard to get dug.
