  1. Treasure is said to be hidden in MacGees wood in Currin Townland. It is about half a mile from this school. One time a few boys were told in sleep about the gold. They were not to speak from the time they started to dig till they finished digging. The was said to be covered in an asskin with an Iron cover over it a fourpence on the Iron.
    Next night they started digging and when they had a big hole dug one of them hit his spade off the Iron and the pennies rattled. He shouted, ''Begad, I have it''. When he spoke all disappeared.
