    Generally he made the Sign of the Cross and then got power to run away. Always it was late at night and the man was alone.
    Mick [?] saw the Ghost at Tim Storeys' gate when he was coming home late from Swanlinbar one night.
    He was coming along and suddenly "fear struck him" He looked over and there was the old man sitting by the gate and the eyes blazing in his head, and full of hatred for Mick and all things. He wanted to get Mick "Body and [?]" but before the Thing could stir Mick made the sign of the Cross and the thing was rooted to the gate while Mick ran on and on.
    The Ghost was worst of all when it took the shoe of a Bag of Wool. I never heard why.
    It was bad when it took the shape of a turkey
    The man who saw the ghost sometimes was riding a horse.
    The horse always knew of the Ghost before the man did and was always badly frightened.
    There were a good few haunted
