then she caught his ankle and massaged it and the leg till he could feel the muscles and tendons starting and trembling under her fingers which had a grip as soft as silk and as firm as steel.
In a few minutes he felt strained parts all shoot back to their places-there was a pleasant feeling of health restoration and he was quite cured.
Later he strained the other ankle and went to a man who had the cure. He made just the same passes, said the same prayers and that was all and the ankle was no better. I don't know the names of either the woman or the man.
If you get a mote in your eye Mrs Mary McBrien of Altachullion will put in her tongue and lick it out.
Jaundice. The cure of this is quite common. This is the latest one I heard of which I'm quite sure. May Corrigan c/o Sodens, Cavan, had the jaundice. The doctors' treatment was doing no good. She went home and a neighbour came with the cure. He used a great many herbs and showed the people of the house exactly how the cure was made. May took it according to his direction and the improvement began immediately and she was quite recovered in a short time.
The Pains. A good few have got cured-they drank about 1/2 a pt of poiteen-but this time you wouldn't expect me to give name and address but I know them.
