- The following animals are on my father's farm, ten cows, eleven calves, twelve pigs, three horses, five sheep, and ten heifers. The names of the cows are the "big cow", the "Carson cow", the "blue cow", the "red heifer", the "white cow", the "Cory cow", "Spottie the Nulty cow" the "black and white cow" and the "yellow cow".
We say "suck-suck-suck" to the calves, when we call them for their mash. The cows are tied by the neck. The cowhouse is called the byre.
There are stakes in a row along each side, and there i a ring round the stake.
