Long ago the people of this district scarcely ever wore boots and it certainly must have been a good practice because the people of those days were much healthier and stronger than the present generation. It is said that when a person goes barefooted while young they will benefit from it when they are old, they will be free from all foot deceases such as corns and chilblains.
    But the wearing of boot is a great benefit to Doctors and Chemists also shoemakers and Cobblers.
