  1. There is a ratheen in the town land of Coolenearl. The farm was owned one time recently by a man that came from the Co Cavan. He was a stranger to the place his name was Mr Treacy and he knew nothing of the ratheen.
    Mr Treacy tilled the ratheen and when he was tilling it he saw fairies he got such a fright that he got sick. He was sick until he left the place about six or seven months after. He was not sick when he left the place. The place is now owned by Mr Johnson.
