    Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday
    Eggs on Easter Sunday, and Calcannon on All Hallow Eve are still the traditional articles of food in this locality.
    A ring is put in the pancake on Shrove Tuesday night and it is said that the one who gets the ring will be the first in the house to be married.
