  1. Chapel is situated near Red Cross and it got its name from a chapel that stood there long ago.
    In Arklow there is a certain Lane called Abbey Lane which got it's name from the old abbey which is now owned by Mr Wm Hall of Lr. Main St.
    There is a Hill at Templerainey called the Pound Hill there was a pound and the hill got it's name from the pound.

  2. Old crafts are not the same as this days crafts. Hand-weaving and brush making were the crafts of long ago. Brushes were made from bent. Bent is kind of fern which grows on the beach or sand banks.
