  1. Near Shelton farmyard there is a field called the Daisy field because in the summer time it is as white as snow.
    There is a road leading from Shelton to the Beach road called Big Wood Road. There are woods on each side.
    There is a small wood in Shelton called the Grannies' Grove. It was christened that name because there are a lot of sweet chestnut trees their and grannies used to bring their grand children to pick nuts with them. If two or three met together they would talk over their troubles.
