    There is a lane on the Arklow to Woodenbridge road called the Granny-well lane. In years long gone by, this lane led to a number of houses and it is said that one old woman was the Grandmother of all the families. In the lane was a well called Granny's Well. There are no houses there now only fields belonging to the Glenart Estate.
