    Some people are superstitious at seeing a single magpie. They believe in the saying ;
    One for sorrow
    Two for mirth
    Three for a wedding
    And four for a birth
    Five for sickness
    Six for death
    Birds such as the curlew,blackbird,wild duck and peacock are heard screeching at the coming of bad weather
