An old story is told about "Mineview" Avoca, a farmer's residence. It relates to a haunted carriage. A carriage is believed to have been driven by a headless coachman to the front of the house.

The inhabitants used to hear a sound on the gravel at midnight, and suspecting that it might be a burglar, it is said that they got out of bed, and went to the window to look out. When they looked out through the window, they saw nothing at all. So supposing they had been dreaming, they went back to bed again.
