- An old story is told about "Mineview" Avoca, a farmer's residence. It relates to a haunted carriage. A carriage is believed to have been driven by a headless coachman to the front of the house.The inhabitants used to hear a sound on the gravel at midnight, and suspecting that it might be a burglar, it is said that they got out of bed, and went to the window to look out. When they looked out through the window, they saw nothing at all.
