  1. Song about '98
    True patriots of Eireann's Isle
    Come listen to my song
It's of the celebration that will take place here long
Concerning our Martyred sons with courage proud and great.
Who nobly died for Ireland in glorious '98
From Ballyhinch in Wexford and west to Castlebar
The rallying cry of Ireland's (cause) sons was once remembered o'er
There was peerless joy Mc. Cracken and Monroe
Brave Fr. Roach and Murphy, Michael Dywer and Joseph Holth
There was Doyle of old Kilcullen who forced the Donnerd to bolt
They took the field in Father's land,
No foreigners did dedicate for their words and action of men who fought in '98
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
