  1. To cure a wart : Get a snail. Rub the snail on the wart. Then put the snail upon a bush-thorn and when the snail dies the wart disappears.
    Or rub a head of a sulphur match on the wart twice a day and say a prayer.
    To cure a sprained ankle : - put your foot into a running stream and have a dish of hot water beside you and keep moving your foot from one water to another.
    Cure for a tooth-ache :- Get a frog and make the sign of the Cross on the tooth with the frog.
    The cure for a heart-burn :- Get a cup of butter-milk and put a spoon full of bread-soda into it and stir both up.
    Cure for scalded feet :- Use alum and sulpher powder in a basin of luke-warm water.
    Cure for the teeth :- Put your finger in your ears and let some person fill your mouth with water.
