    forced to seek in sub-soil. When seagulls assemble on the land, storm and rainy weather is always near at hand. A rainbow in the morning and a rainbow in the west indicates stormy weather. It is always unlucky to see single magpies, the reason is that in cold and stormy weather one magpie alone leaves the nest in search of food, and the other remains sitting on the eggs or with the young.
