  1. There is a green patch situated on the crossroads outside the Church wall of Killamoate. Mr Doody says that in olden times someone buried jewels under this green patch
    One night five persons came and dug for the jewels. It is said that they found some diamonds. Someone hid those jewels during the rebellion seventeen ninety eight.
    There is a crock of gold hidden under the "goat benches" on Lugnaquilla. It is said that a king hid this gold.
