  1. There are three fairy forts in this locality, or raths as they are locally known. They are all in view of one another. They are all circular in shape. There are trees growing round two of them and a ditch around one. The following is a story which I heard about one of these raths.
    One night a man was coming home from rambling about ten o clock and when he went out the hill near his home, he heard a moise above him and he saw a churn coming down the hill, and it crossed a field below him and went into one of these raths.
