  1. Once upon a time there lived a poor man and his wife whose only means of living was a small farm. They were in arrears with rent and one morning the poor man started out to fair to sell his last cow. On his way through a rough mountain he was joined by a tiny man who walked along beside him, he asked him where he was going and what was his business. The man told him he was going to fair to sell the cow. The little man told him if he gave him the cow he would give him a bottle in exchange. The man refused this request as he wanted the money very badly. After much persuasion he gave the cow to the little man and went home with the bottle.
    His wife was very angry when he told her the story and he found it very hard to keep the bottle from been broken. The little man had told them to put a clean
