    There is a cut in the Derrybawn mountain called the Giants Cut, it is said that two giants were fighting over a beautiful maiden, the two giants were facing each other, then the other made an aim at him, but he missed him and he split the rock in two instead and ever since then it is known as the Giants Cut.
