  1. Come gather round, my hearties, until you hear the news
    Its on the sportsmen that I call I hope they won't refuse
    To sing about a races come off some time ago
    Away up at Carrigower, where the Vartry waters flow.
    That's the sort of sport boys that I do recommend
    When you go to see a races your sure to meet your friends.
    Here's to the point to point races that's the sport for me
    There's not a man connected but can join you on the spree.
