  1. (1) It is supposed to be unlucky for the bride to see the bridegroom on the day of his marriage before he reaches the Church.
    (2) It is also supposed to be unlucky to postpone a marriage if a special day is fixed.
    (3) It is believed that the bride should not make her own wedding cake or wedding dress
    (4) Another belief is that a clock is a very lucky thing to give as a wedding preasent.
    (5) Another belief is that the bride or bridegroom should wear something borrowed on their wedding day as we learn from the following rhyme.
    "Something old, something new,
    Something borrowed, something blue."
