  1. This well is situated a few miles to the north of Keadeen Mountain at the south side of Glen Imaal. Tradition has it that a convent existed in this place at one time but that the nuns were chased away from there and that they fled to Kildare.
    It is said that a Patron used to be held there long ago on the first day of February. Nothing is known of the exact spot where the convent was located although it is said that a farmhouse now occupies the sight where it stood.
