    Before he went out one of the children said Father how do you know if he will do a good job on it.
    The Father said he did not know.
    The child said that he knew. He told his father that if the Smith did a good job on it he would take it in your tongs and threw it out in the yard and if you did a bad job on it you would leave it by the wall.
    "Ah" said the smith it is a fairy smith you have instead of a child. When you are going home and when you are near the house start roaring and shouting that Mullamass is a-fire. So the man did as he was told and when the child heard him he ran to the door and he said Father what is wrong. His Father said O Mullamass is afire.
    O dear me all my tools will be burned. He ran away and he never was seen again.
