    moving and the crane can easily catch them.
    10. Cows:- When the cattle are not "gadding" i.e. that is running from the flies. This is a sign that holds only in Summer because the flies do not bit in any of the other seasons.
    11. Fog:- When the fog goes north.
    12. Sunset:- When there is a red sunset.
    13. Hills:- When the hills look far away.
    14. Wild Geese:- When wild geese fly in the form of an F. Wild Geese always fly in the form of some letter, usually V and W.
    15. Swans:- When swans come up the river from the Brittas Ponds. They also come from Captain Daly's pond. One of these is all black.
    16. Grouse:- When the grouse chirps or chatter.
    17. Martins:- When Martins fly against the river.
    18. Crows:- When crows leave their nests late in the morning or when they return early in the evening.
    19. Animals:- When sheep and cattle are lying in the fields in the morning.
    20. Snow:- A fall of snow in Spring is a sign of a fine summer.
