  1. Hidden Treasure
Some time ago, I was going to a wake. As the wake was a long way away, the driver of the trap and I were talking. He told me that there was supposed to be a treasure hidden in Church Mountain. This treasure was supposed to consist of golden plates. This gold was supposed to be hidden by a robber, who when caught wouyld not tell where it was but said he could see the sun flashing off the gold on another man's dresser at twelve o'clock noon.
I asked why this mountain was so called and the driver said that the remains of an old church were there. This church was built for the use of pilgrims between Kildare and Glendalough.
There is a holy well just beside the church and it is probable that the treasure, if any, is hidden in this vicinity.
