  1. Hidden Treasure
According to a story told to me by my Father, there is supposed to be a hidden treasure hidden on Ballinastocken hill.
It is supposed to be hidden by a little man who asked two girls for a drink of milk when they were coming down the hill after milking the cows.
He asked them for a drink of milk. At first they were afraid to give it to him. He said he would give them a pot of gold if they would give him the drink. They then gave it to him and he raised up a sod and they saw a pot of gold under the sod. They didn't bring it home till they would ask at home if they could bring it in. They decided with the little man to put a sprig over it.
When they went back out to look for it all the hill was covered with sprigs. If they had taken some of the gold out of the pot the little man would not have covered the hill with sprigs.
