Church Mountain, if they wished, only they might hit Tyrrells' house and knock it down and they said they did not like to do that.

  2. There was a man, named Ned Lynch, who lived near Davidstown. He was a "car-man". He was in a yard one day and two men were going to fight him. He took up two hundred (weight) of salt and pitched it into the car. The men got afraid when they saw how strong he was.
A brother to Ned Lynch jumped over four horses together.
A man named Jack Plant, walked from Ballineddin to Gorey and back in twenty-four hours. He often went there to buy cattle and drove them home before him.
