In olden times there were no such people as Doctors, but "Quacks". The old people were very healthy and scarcely ever sick. Only occasionally a person had a cold and he sent for the Quack
When the Quack came he asked him was his head paining him and he said it was. The Quack got some herbs and boiled them and gave the juice to the patient. In a few hours the patient was all right.
A cure for a swelling was to get chick-weed, which grows wild in our
