  1. The usual height of a dash-churn is three feet Its diameter is one and a half feet.
    The churn is made up of different parts, - the body which holds the milk, the lid which is put on the body to keep the milk from splashing out, the dash, which is a long stick with two boards about four inches wide nailed cross-ways on the top. It comes out through a hole in the centre of the lid.
