  1. One night when I was in Briens of Kilcough, at about eleven o'clock at night, we were all in bed - a light shone in through the windows. Jane (Brien RIP) got up, and she opened the window in her own room, in the gable end of the house, and she looked out. She could see all across Lennon's fields, and could see the broom growing on Red Pat Deegans brow! The whole place was lit up.

    Me and Jane (Brien) and Jim (Brien) us three - was sitting at the fire, at about 9 o'clock, when the light shone in through the window. We were surprised to see it. After a bit, I stood up, and walked out, and says to to myself, "I'll walk over as far as the well-gate,
