  1. There are certain days of the week which are considered lucky while others are unlucky.
Friday is considered to be an unlucky day for starting a journey. But to begin work on this day is considered to be lucky. Some people would not dare to begin work on any day except Friday
Saturday has certain lore attatched to it but most of it is known in this district. On this day it is unlucky to begin work and it is believed that any work begun on Saturday takes longer to finish it than it would if it were begun on any other day. On the first of May it is said to be unlucky to lend anything to a neighbour because they can bring bad luck to the person from whom they borrow the article.
Wednesday is considered a lucky day to get married and in this district nearly every engaged couple get married on Wednesday.
