  1. It is said that there was at one time a castle in Dunlavin, but no trace of it can be seen.
    But there is an old ruin in Dober a quarter of a mile from Dunlavin. The lands around which was owned by Sarsfield at one time.
    Nobody knows when it was built or by whom.
    Not Far from this ruin is a little spring, from which the "Greize"flows.
    This well was supposed to be a holy well, but no one knows to whom it is dedicated to.
    At one time the " Tyrte" family lived in this big house.
