  1. Sunday the 28th of August there was a big meeting held in the Glen of Imall in commeration of Michael Dwyer the famous Wicklow chieftain who lived about two hundred years ago. It commenced about two o clock, numbers of bands were imployed there and crowds of people from all parts of Ireland came to take part in the parade and each one of them carried a pike.
    "The parade took place from Coolmoney camp to Dwyers cottage about two miles further on.
    "The cottage is in ruins but it is to be built up again this year.
    "There were men carrying pikes guns and rifles belonging to Dwyer and his men.
    "Kevin Barry's brother Michael carried Dwyer's blunderbus.
    "There were me making short speeches also concerning 1798.
