  1. The York is the Principal breed seen.
    The nos have declined especially since 1928 to 1930. Feeding stuffs up 50 to 100% and pigs 25% or £4 to £5 for a fat pig or 48/s a cut dead weight to 60/s per cur dead weight. Farmers here have almost closed to fatten pigs.
    Many farmers can cure their bacon at home. They know the art well, and can cure even in the month of May.
